It has been said that one is what one eats. In 2016, a federal law was passed requiring labeling on certain food products that contain GMO's. The Department of Agriculture was given two years to write the rules regarding labeling. Some states, with more strict GMO labeling requirements, objected, and many food producers also objected maintaining the GMO's are completely safe. The question for Discussion 5 is should food producers be required to label GMO's under federal laws, under more restrictive state laws, or not at all??
