I have always had high hopes for my life. I often fantasize about my life and ways to improve it. It's ironic that I used the word fantasize instead of the word plan because fantasizing does not stimulate action. Let's try this again. I should plan on improving my future by developing my own personal vision. I never thought about creating a vision plan for my life but it makes great sense. My vision plan can lead me in directions I never even thought about. It can impel me to steer my own course in realizing my dreams and aspirations without having to rely on others to make that determination for me.
"Senge defines vision as what you want to create of yourself and the world around you. What does your vision include?" (Linda Phillips-Jones, 2009). My vision includes many things but I never considered it altering my surroundings because I tend to think inside the box and do not always envision the bigger picture. What a revelation! I am often the one who stays on the outside looking in because I don't want to ripple the waters. I always play it safe.
