After a full and careful reading of this week's materials (and previous readings), please respond to the following questions:
1. Is there anything additional that you think should be put into place to help protect potential victims and/or work with those who have already been victimized?
If you were a victim, what expectations would you have from the criminal justice system? As a victim, is there a type of response you would seek out or prefer to receive from criminal justice professionals?
Explain restoration as an attempt to make victims "whole again," insofar as possible and identify three (3) reasons why some crimes are not reported to police. What are the consequences to the community when crime goes unreported?
2. Review "The Nine Principles of Policing" from 1829 written for the London police force. Link: Peel's Nine Principles
Select one principle and comment on its application to policing today. Could these principles as a whole still be applied today?
Support your responses with at least one (1) resources from within the course material.
