Most airlines now charge passengers to check a bag and impose a surcharge if the weight of the bag is over 50 pounds. Independent random samples of checked luggage on Delta and American flights were obtained, and the weight (in pounds) of each was recorded.
For Delta, n1 = 25, and S12= 96.23; for American, n2 = 21 and S22= 194.02. Is there any evidence to suggest that the variability in checked baggage weight is different for these two airlines? Use a = 0.05 and assume normality.
