Problem

Scientists studying frog population dynamics ask the following scientific question: "Does diet affect the growth rate of tadpoles?" Many groups of tadpoles are reared in a laboratory. Some groups are fed the traditional laboratory diet of boiled lettuce. Some groups are fed a new meat-based commercial fish food diet. After 2 weeks the change in weight of the tadpoles is measured. The hypothesis for this experiment is: Diet will affect the growth rate of tadpoles.

The statistical analysis and graph for the tadpole growth data is shown below. A t-test was used to determine if there was a significant difference between the two treatment means. Is there a significant difference between the treatment means?
