Problem
Play: A Doll's House by Henrik Ibsen
Also, you have read Shakespeare's Hamlet for Lesson 6, which is a viable option to write about as well.
A couple of things to keep in mind as you prepare:
I. You should aim to dissect the story's content, themes, characterization or other literary aspects that lend itself to the dramatic nature of the play. (For a more detailed explanation of commonly used literary devices, please check out this website.)
II. Use quotations and citations from the text, as well as supplemental research materials, to prove the argument presented in your thesis.
III. Remember to review the article "How To Read and Enjoy a Dramatic Play" from ThoughtCo. that is featured in Lesson 6 to guide you through your reading of the play, as well as the article on "A Guide To Deep Reading" you tackled in Week 4's Reflection Assignment (click here to review that article in its original format).
Some questions to consider during your editing process before final submission:
• Does my paper contain an interesting and engaging introduction of the topic material?
• Is my thesis statement argumentative and precise? Does it best encapsulate the focus of my paper?
• Is my evidence section formatted from the strongest piece of evidence first to the least important? Are my paragraphs formatted as mini-essays in their own right?
• Does my conclusion properly summarize what comes before it? Do I have a final statement that ends the paper but doesn't end the conversation?
