Is morality the result of a natural process of development

Problem 1: What is justice?  Consider the different definitions offered in the articles by Rawls, Nozick, Matson, Singer and Hardin.  Can you categorize them into two or three groups? Can they be reconciled?

Problem 2: Is morality the result of a natural process of development or of the culture in which one is raised? Does either or both of the above imply that morality is relative?  Consider the writings of Kohlberg, and the feminists (Gilligan and Grimshaw) as well as any writers from the first half of the semester that you may still remember.

Problem 3: Can the major ethical theories (e.g., Kant, Mill, Bentham, Aristotle and Ross) help us resolve the abortion controversy? Why or why not?  Would your answer be the same with regard to euthanasia?
