Assignment Task: Reply to Bok 'Lies for the public good'
1. Is it ok to lie for the public good? If so, describe a circumstance in which that is the case. Conversely, should the public always be told the truth, no matter the consequences / explain?
2. Are lies for political purposes acceptable as long as the outcome is good?
3. Do we / or should we (in the public sense) ever consent to being deceived?
