Is globalization both inevitable and irreversible?
What are the major institutions of globalization?
What is happening to global income distribution?
Can the nation state/national economy survive the process of globalization? If not, does the concept of “development” have any meaning?
What role does the state need to play in a globalized economy? Is the state able to play such a role? (does it have the political will, the political power, the competence to pursue a relatively autonomous development strategy?);
What are the relationships between globalization, poverty and development?
What can or should be done?
