Assignment task:
Effective research involves not only knowing where to find sources and knowing how to find them but also being able to evaluate and identify quality sources. In this assignment, you will use your research skills to locate quality sources for a research topic and your critical reading skills to take notes on the source. Follow the steps below for assignment submission.
STEP 1: Choose ONE of the topics below. This is the topic you will use to practice employing your research and evaluative skills. This is NOT necessarily the topic you are writing your research project on.

Cyberbullying in Social Media: How should social media companies improve the bullying and harassment policies on their platforms to better protect their users?
Student Loan Forgiveness: Should the U.S. government enact a program to forgive student loans?
Cancel Culture: Is cancel culture an effective tool for social change, or does it infringe upon freedom of speech?
School Dress Codes: Are school dress codes sexist and oppressive?
Labor Market: Will the "Great Resignation" give workers more leverage?
Music & Sustainability: What is the environmental impact of music streaming services?
STEP 2: Once you have chosen a topic and corresponding research question, locate several sources on the topic. As you locate sources, evaluate them to determine if they would be viable sources for a research paper on this topic.
