Is Beowulf more heroic in the last section of the poem (where he fights the dragon) than he was in the first section, or less heroic? Why?
Some things to consider in responding to the central question:
--How is the fight with the dragon different from the fight with Grendel?
--Is the dragon a similar or different kind of opponent?
--How is Beowulf different? Have his motives for fighting changed?
