For this assignment, the target audience is anyone that you would be trying to get to invest in your airline. i.e. a major carrier to fly for, a wealthy investor, a prospective business partner, a banker to get a loan from, etc.
Answer the following questions in your business plan:
- What is the purpose of your airline?
- Do you have a logo? (what does it signify branding wise?)
- Do you have a company slogan for employees? (i.e. Our people make the airline)
- Company slogan for marketing? (i.e. fly the friendly skies)
- What are the objectives of your airline?
- What Target Market? (types of passengers, business, vacation, high density)
- Based on the market target(s), what configurations will your airline use for seating and catering, etc.
- Hubs and Headquarters. Why choose the cities you are choosing?
- What engine/airframe configurations? (based on what? why?)
- What strategies are you going to use to achieve your objectives?
- What factors beyond your control could influence your operations?
- Does your airline have a niche to separate it from the competitors?
- What are the set goals for performance? (Load Factor, Percent on time)
- What is the timeline for objectives? (1st year? 2nd year? 5 year?)
- How you will plan to deal with competition on a route? Winning strategy? Exit Strategy?
- Planned replacement aircraft. (for what routes and why?)
- Buy or Lease A/C? Why? New or used? Why?
