Assignment task: Complete the following in your workplace:

1. Investigate and explain marketing communications concepts. Complete the following tasks and provide workplace evidence to show that you have done the following:

a.  Submit a copy of the relevant sections of the applicable legislative requirements and self-regulatory requirements related to marketing communications. Highlight the sections that apply specifically to your organisation/ marketing communications project as described below

b. Submit your preparation for a marketing communications project agreed with your supervisor.

This includes: print outs of research conducted into: current issues and the appropriate mode of marketing communication; low focus thinking methods; high focus thinking methods; lateral thinking

c. Submit your completed marketing communications documentation.

Your marketing communications document must meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrate low focus thinking methods
  • Demonstrate high focus thinking methods
  • Contain evidence of lateral thinking
  • Contain appropriate creative elements

d. Submit your accompanying report on how you went about creating the marketing documentation.

Your report must contain the following:

  • Define the scope of what is to be communicated - this is the What, How, Where, When and Who of the project
  • Evaluate in writing the product and marketing information and their effectiveness and impact in communicating to the consumer
  • Explain how you have taken a conventional idea and turned it on its head
