The local DNR biologists monitored harvested deer for bovine tuberculosis (BT), which requires an invasive sample of the harvested deer and is very time consuming. They were pretty sure the BT infection rate was no more than 10%. They had the resources to inspect about 100 deer and wanted to know what kind of precision they could expect with n=100. What would you tell them? (They were trying to decide whether or not it was worth the effort.)
