WELDMENTS & SHEET METAL

INSTRUCTIONS: Use Sheet Metal and Weldments to create the assembly file shown in FIGURE in attachment file

Create the weldment as a part file shown in FIGURE HW#1-1 using the instructions per exercise MCE181-CE#1 WELDMENTS. Use the 3D sketch shown in FIGURE HW#1-2 for dimensions. The structural members are 4"x4"x0.25" square tubes and the joints must be trimmed/extended as shown. See FIGURE HW#1-4 for additional views on the joints.

Add weldment end caps and 4 gussets with fillets as shown.

Create an assembly file, import the weldment, and create the sheet metal as shown in FIGURE HW#1-1. Side panels must be removable and the top and back panels must be welded. For removable panels, use the hole series and smart fastener tools for ½-13 flatheads. Follow exercise MCE181-CE#2 SHEET METAL for design and dimensional instructions on removable sheet metal, welded sheet metal, hole series, and smart fasteners.

Remove tangent edges, keep origin planes on center, and fully define the 3D sketch. The file should not have any unsolvable or conflicting entities(yellow or red under the design tree).
