Inference for a single proportion

A sociolinguist claims that at least 45% of all college graduates are functionally illiterate (according to well known accepted standards). A random sample of the 500 college graduates is chosen and subjected to standard literacy test. The results indicate that 212 are, in fact, functionally illitereate. Does this result support orginal claim, or is the population percentage significantly less than 45%. Employ alpha=.05 for level of significance.
