Problem
President Obama's election has been termed "historic." Dominant discourse at the time of the election held that Obama's election proved the 'end of racism.' I'd like you to write about what you think about the Obama's presidency's significant in terms of society becoming "post- racial." In other words, do you think we are living in a post-racial society, and in what ways did Obama's presidency change things? If you disagree (meaning you believe that we are not living in a post-racial society)--explain why and how the election of African American president did or did not make a difference in the way society views-and lives-race.
