In class we have discussed the evolution of personal Selling from Consultative to Strategic to Personal. These 3 stages are summarized in Table 2.1 pg. 30 of your text.
In two well-crafted pages (2 pages maximum) discuss this evolution of the sales process and the reasons why, or rationale behind, this evolution. Here are some areas you might incorporate in your discussion:
• Consider what are the key external as well as internal elements stimulating this change over time.
• Think about the 7 steps in the traditional selling process and which if any are most impacted by
this evolution (if you do discuss this be sure to include your rationales for this changing environment).
• How is technology either aiding or inhibiting this evolution.
• What else do you see as causative factors.
