In responding to each of the following questions, write a minimum of 3-4 sentences about each thing you are asked to explain or describe.
1. Explain the following concepts: absolute threshold; Just Noticeable Difference (JND)/differential threshold; and subliminal perception.
2. List and explain three factors that influence consumers to select the stimuli to which they choose to pay attention.
3. Consumers' perceptions may be distorted for a variety of reasons, including: (a) physical appearances; (b) stereotypes; (c) first impressions; (d) jumping to conclusions; and (e) the halo effect. Explain how three of these factors may work to distort consumers' perceptions or purchase behaviors.
