In a study of Hodgkin's disease, a cancer of the lymph modes, each of 538 patients with the disease, was classified by histological type and by their response to treatment 3 months after it had begun. (The data are described in more detail in Hancock et al., 1979) The histological types are LP = lymphocyte predominance, NS = nodular sclerosis, MC = mixed cellularity and LD = lymphocyte depletion.
What, if any, is the relationship between histological type and response to treatment?
