Brands and branding are integral parts of any consumer's behavior in today's culture, including your behavior. For this project Pick two 2 day periods, one of which must be a weekend, that fall during the course and keep a log of all branded products that you use during that week. If you have breakfast, do you eat Quaker Oatmeal or a store brand such as Schnuck's or Great Value? If you fill your car with gas, do you choose to fill with Mobil or gas from Rhodes 101?Do you wear a t-shirt with Hollister or Pink written across it or do you choose a top with nothing written on it? If you have children, do then want to go to McDonalds or are they happy with a homemade meal? Do you notice brands that you use every day? Do you have brands that you use or interact with much less frequently over the time period. How did you brand usage change from week day to weekend? Are there brands that you use or otherwise interact with on the weekend that you do not use during the week?
Create a 2-5 page paper based on your log analyzing the importance of brands in your lifestyle. 100 points of your grade for the project will be based on the completeness of the log and 100 points for the 2-5 page analysis of the brand upon your lifestyle.
