Assignment:
In the implementation of the Viterbi decoding algorithm, an add-compare-select (ACS) processor is used. But, in performing the maximum a posteriori (MAP) algorithm in turbo decoding, there is no such concept as comparing and selecting one transition over another. Instead the MAP algorithm incorporates all of the branch and state metrics at each time interval. Explain the reason for this fundamental difference between the two algorithms.
Your answer must be typed, double-spaced, Times New Roman font (size 12), one-inch margins on all sides, APA format and also include references.
