Continental philosophy gets its name from the fact that most philosophers from this period come from the continent of Europe, mainly from France, the UK, and Germany.
Q: Why do you think this is? What is it about these countries that produces such inspiring and volumous philosophical works and philosophers? Does it more to do with the time period (1500-present), or do you think the location and cultures of these countries has more of a direct impact of the development of these philosophers?
