Q2. An immigrant violating immigration laws or any other U.S. law may be placed into removal proceedings. If this person is charged with an aggravated felony or is an arriving alien, the person may not get a bond and will not be released until a decision is reached in the case. According to a recent Supreme Court decision, a person is not entitled to a bond even if that person has a status of a permanent resident. What are the reasons for introducing such a limitation? Do you agree with the reasons? Why or why not?
