Nurses, as the largest healthcare workforce, ensure quality and safety critical to patient outcomes by leveraging aggregated patient data for informed decision-making. Effective data management is essential, as nurses handle extensive electronic health record (EHR) documentation encompassing care plans, assessments, interventions, and progress evaluations (Glassman, 2017). Integrating nursing data into big data systems is not merely a technological advancement but a necessary step toward a more efficient, effective, and patient-centered healthcare system. This integration is pivotal for improving patient outcomes, enhancing healthcare efficiency, and advancing nursing research. Big data facilitates personalized care through predictive analytics, enabling early detection and timely interventions (Wang et al., 2018). It optimizes resource allocation by forecasting patient admissions and managing staffing needs efficiently (Raghupathi & Raghupathi, 2014), thereby enhancing operational efficiency and reducing costs. Moreover, big data supports evidence-based practice by guiding clinical decisions with empirical data (Wang et al., 2018)
