Imagine that i hang a heavy copper ring on a string

Compute all parts of given problem:

Problem: Imagine that I hang a heavy copper ring on a string attached to the ceiling and throw a strong magnet through the ring with the North Pole leading and the South Pole trailing?

Part a) Draw a picture of the situation. Define the coordinate system you can use for the rest of the problem.

Part b) As the magnet approaches the ring an increasing number of field lines pass through the ring. This represents a changing magnetic flux. In what direction does the induced current flow through the ring? Explain your reasoning.

Part c) How does the passing through the ring affect the speed of the thrown magnet? Why?

Please show me step by step or type in formulas used. I am so lost!!
