Based on Van Zoonen's chart. Can you think of a different way to divide up the media that would illustrate some structural element of the media industry? Hers are gender and the one she relates to the audience's interest. There must be more. If you can think of one and then provide some examples of media outlets that fall in different places along the line it will be helpful. If we can come up with some of those things, then we might be able to understand better how different forms of subjectivity are needed in the different cases under discussion. Feel free to think of different media sources that you encounter and suggest some.
