Provide a meaningful response to the following, "I thought the challenges that many of the gig workers face were interesting. Specifically, the transportation workers from companies like Uber and Lyft. I thought it would be a difficult way to live and try to make a living wage because classifications of the workers being independent contractors and not employees. By doing this the company saves themselves a lot of money and it would be scary to think about how other companies could start to go down this route to cut costs. The one story from Saibou who is a rideshare driver stood out to me because I think about how many people perform jobs like his and how like he had mentioned at the beginning it was good because they were guaranteed wages but then things changed, and it became hard to get work. Everyone was fighting for the same customers and there was a scarcity. I think about when I need to get an Uber I haven't had to wait very long, it seems like a driver is always just a few minutes away.
