Question: Research Document Samples and Templates
If you are ever called on to create, modify, or evaluate a business document, document samples and templates can be of great help. Do the following to research the many document samples and templates available on the Web:
1. Search the Web for an MOU sample or template. What are the sections in the document? Save a sample MOU or save the link to an MOU.
2. Microsoft Office offers many online templates. If you have Office installed on your computer, use it to search for an SOW template. If you don't have Office installed, find an SOW sample or template on the Web. What are the names of the sections in the document?
3. An SLA is often used to define the technical support that a supplier of a product or server will provide a client. Search the Web and save or print the link to a sample SLA that contains these elements:
• Uptime (the time that a supplier guarantees the client can use the product or service)
• Response time (the time it takes for the supplier to respond to a support request made by the client)
• Penalties (what will happen if the supplier regularly does not meet the first two commitments).
