In today's world the concept of the origin of what we think of as personality is an ever changing one. With movies such as "Her", where a man falls in love with the computer-based "personality", exploring the issues we are continuing to ask just what constitutes a personality and whether it is based on experiences or, as the Biological Model suggests, somehow wired into the person's brain (i.e., a part of both the "hardware" and pre-loaded "software"). For this discussion, present one set of arguments which support the notion that personality is biologically determined and another set of arguments that support the opposite perspective, namely that one's personality develops as a result of interaction with the environment (regardless of which theoretical model you might adhere to). Lastly, identify which perspective you personally believe in and present the basis for your selection. Where possible, provide support from the literature for your assertions.
