Journal Problem
For your first journal, I want you to develop a response in a mini-essay (intro para to the subject/ body paras that explore the subject/ conclusion that wraps it all up) based on the subject of rhetorical modes. Define the following modes:
• The Classical approach
• The Toulmin approach
• The Rogerian approach Make sure to cover the following:
o Identify what you think are weaknesses and strengths to each approach.
o What are the advantages to seeing both sides of an argument and what are the pitfalls?
o How does confirmation allow for a strong argument, but also presents points of weakness?
o Identify a different topic for each of these methods that we hear about every day in the news or in conversation that you think could be explored well by each method, and why you think they would be well served by this approach.
The response must include a reference list. One-inch margins, double-space, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font and APA style of writing and citations.
