Identify what would be the newly synthesized dna strand

Problem

With the knowledge you have learned after taking this Biology class, Professor Thornton believes you could be hired to work in the Research Lab. So, if you were hired to work in the Bioengineering Division, your job responsibility would include teaching a local group of High School Biology students how the Eukaryotic genetic sequence 5'-TAC CAT GAT CCC TAT - 3' (one parent strand of a double helical DNA structure) will show the following:

1. DNA Replication: Identify what would be the newly synthesized DNA strand and explain how the strand will be replicated. Where in the cell would this occur?

2. Transcription: Identify what would be the newly synthesized mRNA strand of codons and explain how this strand will be transcribed from the original DNA template strand and then be converted from a pre-mRNA strand to a mature mRNA strand. Where in the cell would this occur?

3. Translation: The following four questions make up part c:

a. Identify what would be the anti-codons for the tRNA;
b. Name the amino acids generated based on the RNA message;
c. Explain how these amino acids will be used to translate into a protein;
d. Where in the cell would this occur?
