A. What are some of the newest social media advances you have heard of? Using each of these, in turn, identify what would be the ideal type of message to send and the "worst" types of messages. How does this relate to the premise of media richness theory?
B. In your opinion, does uses and gratifications theory give the audience the most control over media compared to the other theories? Why or why not?
C. What is an innovation that you personally adopted and liked but failed to reach critical mass? Using the five qualities of why innovations are adopted, explain what happened to this innovation.
D. It is not uncommon for two or three roommates to sit in their room together and use mediated communication to interact with each other. Even though they are sitting in the same physical environment, they choose not to engage in face-to-face communication. How would the diffusion of innovations theory explain this situation?
E. How do you think the popularity of memes will impact traditional advertising and/or public relations campaigns?
