One day a support worker checks on Judith, an 80 year old person with dementia living in her own home, supported by her daughter Julia, and by aged care workers. The support worker finds her rocking, hand-wringing, and mumbling in her chair. The support worker has noticed her becoming increasingly despondent lately; losing her self-esteem, crying a lot, and being hyper-vigilant to sudden movements. A neighbour, Kenny, sometimes helps Julia care for her mother reports to the support worker that he sometimes hears Julia yelling at her mother in frustration.
Identify what these behaviours are signs of, and describe how the support worker should respond in line with organisation requirements.
