Based on the unit lesson and Mr. Silva's advice on solving public policy challenges, select a local or national policy issue, then outline and specifically delineate each policy process variable(s).
Your paper should include:
I. an introductory paragraph identifying the public policy topic and background;
II. Six comprehensive paragraphs - each paragraph heading will be listed as:
i. Problem Definition and Analysis: In this paragraph, answer the questions of who, what, why, where, when, and how much.
ii. Drafting Policy Options: In this paragraph, identify policy options.
iii. Policy Decision Implications: In this paragraph, identify which stakeholders and what will be changed.
iv. Measuring Alternatives: In this paragraph, identify realistic and practical options.
v. Ethical Implications: In this paragraph, identify what groups' values or cultures may be affected.
vi. Desirable Conclusions: In this paragraph, describe the policy selected and why it was selected; and
III. a summary. Conclude your remarks by illustrating why public policy option was selected, why it was the best option or not the best, and identify what lessons you learned from your research.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
iii) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
