Problem
The security automation tool that I chose was vuls. System administrators can use this tool to identify vulnerabilities related to the system. It informs the users of the infected servers, detects vulnerability automatically, and generates a report regularly. As a system administrator, it can be time-consuming to try and review every software you may have installed on the server. This tool was created to save you time and potentially money. Because looking through the new vulnerabilities in the National Vulnerability Database can be timely, and you may miss something. Creating or initializing an analysis to see if the updates have vulnerabilities can be expensive. This tool seems to be more beneficial in helping manage servers; as I keep learning more, I think I could use this tool in the future, and the best part is that it is FREE.
