Identify type of crisis that derail proposed intervention

Part I:

As an individual, identify a type of crisis that could derail the proposed intervention for the community selected by the CLC group and develop action steps for addressing the crisis. Form a visual illustration, such as a table, graph, flow chart, etc., to succinctly present your proposed crisis and a crisis management plan. Include the elements listed below:

  • Identification of crisis
  • Action steps to resolve the crisis
  • Research support for the selected action steps
  • The intervention is anti-bias and anti-discrimination training in medicine and the goal was to reduce maternal mortality rates in Black women.

Please include 3-5 references.

Part II:

In the CLC forum, review the different crisis management plans submitted by each member. Provide feedback for each crisis management plan regarding accuracy and effectiveness of each crisis and the overall aesthetic quality of the illustration. Based on the feedback, make any revisions or corrections that may be needed in preparation for your final submission of these plans as a group. Ensure that each plan:

  • is represented through a visual illustration (table, graph, flow chart, etc.)
  • clearly identifies a crisis that poses a risk to the intervention
  • presents actionable steps to mitigate the crisis
  • uses research to demonstrate support for the proposed actionable steps intended to mitigate the crisis

Each of the individual crisis management plans can now be used as part of a broader crisis management plan to support the intervention. The overall management plan should present realistic crises that could negatively impact the selected intervention and provide actionable steps that can be taken to effectively mitigate each crisis should one occur.
