Problem: Organise Personal Work Priorities
Activity I
Imagine you are a new loader in a transport and logistics company and you have identified the following performance variation:
Loading onto vehicles is not meeting the scheduled timeframes. On average, this is taking 10 minutes longer, and it is negatively impacting vehicle delivery times.
Write three feedback questions that you could ask the loading manager in order to improve your performance.
Activity II
This activity does not require observation.
1. How can you research sources of stress? (Iden tify three ways).
2. What would you do first in order to access support for stress from your organisation?
3. What type of organisational policies and procedures will stress be managed under?
4. Identify two organisational supports for managing stress.
Activity III
As a self-reflection activity, identify at least one personal and one professional development need that will help you in your current or intended job role.
You should provide an outline of the job role and the development opportunities, and say why these would be of help to you (a maximum of 250 wor ds for your answer).
Activity IV
This will be a roleplay activity, and it is to be conducted in pairs; you should consult with your supervisor (the other person in this roleplay) to discuss personal skill development activities.
You should discuss the ways to undertake personal skill development for your needs. This should be approached in a collaborative manner to talk through how this could be done. To conclude this discussion, you must then write down three activities that you could participate in.
