There are many factors within a health care organization and across the communities served, (demographic, region, economic, and political environments) that impact how they plan and operate.
MedCenter Health and Graves Gilbert Clinic are two health care organizations that service the south central Kentucky region. Review these organization's websites ('About us' or any other relevant pages) and briefly discuss the following.
o Provide a brief background/history of the organizations.
o What are two key differences between these organizations that undoubtedly impact their operations? How these differences impact how they project the organization's image through their mission, vision and values statements (Find and state their mission and vision statements).
o Discuss whether their services are complimentary or competitive?
o In your opinion, as you navigate their websites, identify two different factors that would lead you to opt for one organization over the other if you were a consumer seeking service in this catchment area. Or would you seek different services from either organization. In other words what is the the impact of their web pages and their online marketing.
o Identify any potential gaps in service or opportunities for service for either organization.
