Problem
I. Read the interviews you selected from the list to identify themes and the voices of working-class America in the 1930s & 40s. Take notes and prepare to share your discovery with the class--themes, ethnic or racial identity, region, etc.
II. Summarize the main ideas represented, paying close attention to the representation of work, working conditions, work-related conflicts, work ethic, pride, and any other matters related to working-class life. Consider also how race, gender, region, and other factors play a role in the collection of these life histories.
