Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify the various social identities individuals possess and recognize the impact these identities have on individuals and the human service environment.
- Describe discrimination and oppression currently in our society and recognize how individuals may be treated differently because of their race, gender, class, sexual orientation, age, religion, or ability.
- Develop a greater self-awareness of identity, beliefs, and values and describe how these may impact the human service environment or relationships with others.
