Evaluate a negative personal health behavior or activity. Examine ways to change the behavior based on information you learned in this class.
Please answer the following questions based on information learned in your "Critical Health Issues Class".
Select one specific unhealthy personal behavior that affects you. Examples of topics include, but are not limited to; anger, anxiety, negativity, stress, cigarette smoking, texting and driving, binge drinking, unsafe sexual habits, poor diet, lack of exercise. You can use any topic discussed in class. If you are unsure, please check with your instructor.
The assignment has four parts and should be about 900 words total. Submit a MSWord document in APA format.

a. Identify one unhealthy personal behavior that you believe needs attention.
b. List specific reasons why this is a problem.

d. What are the consequences of the unhealthy behavior?
2. Resources to learn more about the problem. (GE SLO 3). Answer in about 300 words
Use valid online resources, such as the CDC, US Census, Department of Health, etc. to access information and statistics about your concern or problem.
a. Explain and define the problem.
b. What is the prevalence of your unhealthy behavior?
c. How does it compare to the "norm"? (You should compare statistics regarding similar age, race, sex, socioeconomic status, demographics, etc.]
d. Provide at least three valid resources to support your data (reference these using APA style).
3. Technology and Information to assist you with the concern. (GE SLO 5). Answer in about 200 words
a. What technology is available to help you reduce, resolve, and/or cope with the unhealthy behavior? Be sure you select something that is accessible to everyone and appropriate for your age group.
b. Use Internet sources, Apps, books, articles, etc.
c. Provide at least three valid resources and be sure to provide links.
4. Realities of changing the behavior? (GE SLO's 2, 3, 5). Answer in about 300 words
a. Be completely honest with yourself, what are the realities of you changing this behavior?
b. How long do you think it would take to change this behavior permanently?
c. What are the barriers that exist to prevent you from changing this behavior?
d. Have you tried to change this behavior or activity in the past?
