This discussion calls upon the student to write a proposal for an installation. In the proposal:

1. Identify the theme for your installation and explain the concept behind the installation.

2. Create a title for your installation.

3. Describe the size of the space (room, outdoor courtyard, etc.) you will need to create your installation and the environment that it will reside? Example: A gray square room, approximately 25 feet by 25 feet.

4. What materials/objects will be used in the installation? Example: 500 paper mache cats. Each cat is painted with large polka dot patterns. Each cat a different color combination (one cat is blue with yellow polka dots and another is red with black polka dots

5. Explain how the installation will be set up and how do you see the viewer interacting with your work. Example: Within the 25" X 25" space a series of smaller rooms (maze like) will be installed that are connected to one another by doors. There is a space of three feet between built rooms and the walls of the 25' X 25' gallery so that the viewer can walk around the perimeter of the work. Along one of the rooms one door with allow the viewer to enter the installation then walk from room to room.
