Discussion: "Social Impact on a Juvenile Scenario"
Respond to the following:
• In this week, you were part of a scenario concerning a teenager that had tried to steal a bike and was caught. The Sergeant talked to the teenager, and the teenager told him why he had tried to steal it. In your lesson this week, you were exposed to mainstream, critical, and integrated sociological theories.
• Based on what you saw and heard in the scenario, identify some of the potential origins for the offending behavior exhibited by the teenager.
• Determine with which theories these factors correspond.
• Explain whether or not integrated theories seem to work better in this case than the individual theories that were discussed.
