A 42-year-old male with a history of military service and type 2 diabetes mellitus presents with concerns over muscle weakness and loss of motor coordination which has progressed over the last two weeks. The client also reports numbness in some of his toes, and experiencing falls on the treadmill at the gym three times over the last two weeks. He is very anxious about his concerns since neurological disorders are present in some of his family members.
