Identify root causes of problems identified and offer

Guidelines for writing the case write-ups:

1. The issues (e.g. problems / opportunities) you discuss should be those that you identify from your analysis and not those directly identified in the case.

Do NOT include repetitious description that is common knowledge or directly stated in the case. Be analytical rather than descriptive. In other words, do not summarize.

2. Identify root causes of problems identified and offer potential solution(s). What solutions or suggestions would you offer to upper management/board of directors regarding these issues?

3. Approach the write-up as if you were writing a concise. to the point analysis for a high-level manager. Put yourself in the position of a business analyst hired to give a key analytical report to upper management.

Correct spelling and grammar are important and will be part of your grade. Third person is preferred

4. -1 page for the case write up

Case(s)

• The student team facilitating the case does not have to turn in a case write-up

• Case write-ups should be done independently(not as a group)

• If you are not facilitating the case, you will be expected to be an active participant in the discussion.
