Problem: If the system you choose has a parts list posted, begin with that. For at least one of the two systems, develop your own "Level 2" decompositional model (that is, pick at least one system that does not have a parts list provided) so that it contains no more than 30 to 50 Level 2 instrument objects of form. Identify reasonable choices for a simplified Level 2 model with 20 to 30 parts. Show the formal structure for the simplified Level 2 objects of form for each of the two systems, indicating the nature of the formal structure (connectivity, topological, etc.). Is the formal structure important in these systems? Show it in a matrix (DSM or other) or graphical (OPM or other) representation.
