As a security analyst of NAICS 51, what 4 cybersecurity functional areas - and specific capabilities within them - should be prioritized in order to guard against threat and future security investments. Identify at least one specific capability for each functional area and a total of 8 capabilities across all functional areas (you can have 2 per FA or an uneven mix). Conceive your selected areas/capabilities in such a way as to reduce maximum overall risk through these controls. Justify each of your recommendations.
i. You can take Verizon's 2020 DBIR recommendations into consideration as well as the collective output for Assignment 2
ii. For which functional areas map to which incident patterns (and how well).
iii. Make sure to "translate" this into specific FAs and capabilities used in Donaldson rather than generic language used in the DBIR. Also ensure that your recommendations are in line with the size and resources of the organization you selected.
