Problem:
The election of Biden in 2020 showed Latinos' influence in national elections. Despite the election of the candidate preferred by the majority of Latinos, the election also supported long-term trends that Latino communities participated at rates lower than those of non-Hispanic or Whites. In detail, please describe the individual and institutional aspects that explain the gap between the Latino population and the percentage of Latinos who turn out to vote in elections since the passage of the Voting Rights Act. In addition, please examine the resources Latino communities and candidates or campaigns pursuing Latino votes have at their disposal today to overcome the factors and how these resources were tapped in the 2020 and 2022 election processes.
