Prepare a 10- to 12- slide presentation. Assume the role of an employee presenting to your company president.
1. Brief Introduction and Conclusion & submission.
2. Explain IFRS versus GAAP. Include a clear description of the changes in financial principles and reporting between the two. (2 slides ON THE SECTION ONLY)
3. Explain the two terms, "more principle based" and "rules based"and provide examples for each
4. Define the expected future direction for IFRS in regard to financial report format and the benefits of the change.
5. Identify areas that you do not expect to have changed in GAAP.
6. Articulate your opinion on SOX's role for non-U.S. registered corporations.
